The Queen Mary in the city of Long Beach, California, was home to some of the best "flesh art" pieces from around the world during the annual tattoo convention the International Ink- N-Iron Festival. With more than 300 artists representing 25 different countries and 30 States, no wonder this gathering of artists is considered one of the best in the world.

As we boarded the luxurious Queen Mary, the sound of tattoo machines filled the atmosphere and excitement's in the air as the best of the best in the tattoo world work on flesh. With big names like Jack Rudy, Benjamin Moss, Nikko, Goeth, Clarens, Tattoo Tony, Pint, Robert Hernandez and Paul just to name a few, the show is a wonderland of talented flesh artists. The Queen Mary is a 1930s luxury liner that now rests in the port of Long Beach, and history and art go hand to hand. The art of tattooing has its own history and worldreknowned tattoo artists like Ed Hardy, Bob Roberts and Lyle Tuttle worked with machines that weren't easily available in the early days.

With a full-scale pre-1963 car show, there was plenty of metalflake, candy and custom painted cars outside for all to enjoy. If you missed the show, don't trip. Check out www.ink-n-iron.com for more details on the show and the upcoming event running from June 6-8.
